TRACKING FUN DAY & GENERAL MEETING

The next general meeting for the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club will be held on Sunday, April 2, as part of the club’s Tracking Fun Day in Ocala, Fla. The Tracking Fun Day was designed to give club members an opportunity to try the sport of tracking in a no-pressure, fun atmosphere under the expert guidance of accomplished trackers/trainers Pat Flynn and Susie Rezy. Full details about the Tracking Fun Day including time, location and what you need to bring can be found at this link on the club’s website:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR AGILITY TRIAL

The MFGRC’s next big event is the Agility trial being held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22-23 at the Grand Oaks Resort near Lady Lake, Fla. Some volunteers are needed to work as gate steward, scribe and timer – if you can help at all, including all three days, one day or part of a day, please contact volunteer coordinator Pat Carlile at pat_golden_boy@yahoo.com. Also, setup will be on Thursday, April 20, and anyone who would like to help would also be welcomed; please let Pat know.

FUN FIELD DAY, GENERAL MEETING SET FOR MAY 7

On Sunday, May 7, the MFGRC will hold a Fun Field Day/Intro to Field Training, along with a general meeting, at the Richwood South Training Center in Morriston, Fla. Even if you’re not currently running your dogs in hunt tests or field trials, it’s a great opportunity to experience Goldens enjoying their natural instincts.
