The Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club will hold a general meeting and pot luck lunch on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Ocala show. Goldens show at 1 p.m. in Ring 1 and the club meeting will start immediately after (approximately 3 p.m.).
After the meeting, Rosa Blair, who is a certified master groomer, will give a demonstration of grooming the tails of Golden Retrievers and will be available to answer any questions club members may have.
All members should bring chairs and something to contribute to the pot luck lunch. Potential items include:
- Warm and cold dishes
- Chips
- Lunch meat
- Bread for sandwiches
- Deserts
- Soda bottles
- Plastic cups
- Paper plates
- Plastic utensils
As an important part of the meeting, the list of nominations for officers and board members for 2018 will be read. After the list is read, any member may make additional nominations. If the proposed candidate is not present at this meeting, the person nominating must provide a written statement from the nominated individual stating acceptance of the nomination. If this occurs, the nominated individual then is considered a candidate.
