September Edition of “Golden Tales” Now Available

The brand-new September, 2021, edition of “Golden Tales,” the official newsletter of the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club, is now available for reading and downloading on the club website.

The new editions contains features and content not available anywhere else, including a preview of the 2021 GRCA National. And as always, members are recognized for their achievements with their Goldens.

Entry Premium Available for Two Agility Trials at GRCA National

Agility competitors who have Golden Retrievers will have two opportunities to compete in Goldens-only agility trials staged by the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club. 

The entry premium for both events, which are being held at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla., is now available. 

The club will hold a trial on Sunday, October 24. The next day, Monday, October 25, is agility day for the 2021 Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty, which is being hosted by the MFGRC. 

Judges for both trials will be John Defilippi and David Hirsch. 

Exhibitors should read the entry premium carefully as the two events require separate entries, with different opening dates/times and different closing times.

Entry Premium Available for MFGRC Fall Agility Trial

The entry premium is now available for the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club’s Fall Agility Trial that will be held Oct. 21-22-23 at Grand Oaks Resort in Weirsdale, Fla. (near The Villages).   

The three-day AKC trial is open to all breeds. Judges will be Don Wittke of West Chester, PA., and Jacqueline O’Neill of Ocala, FL.  

The trial days will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday due to the start of the Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty, hosted by the MFGRC, in Ocala on Oct. 22.

Entry Premium Available for MFGRC Obedience/Rally Trial

The entry premium is now available for the Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club’s annual Obedience and Rally Trial, which will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 13-15, at the Obedience Club of Daytona in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The event will include two AKC-sanctioned, all-breed Rally Trials on Friday, Aug. 13, with judge Aimee Kincaid. On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 14-15, there will be two Obedience Trials each day with judges Kathy Griner, Aimee Kincaid and Ken Kincaid.

The entry premium includes information on a discounted hotel room rate for exhibitors at the Country Inn and Suites in Port Orange, Fla., which is a dog-friendly hotel located about 15 minutes from the trial site.
