Welcome Statement
Welcome to the MFGRC WC/WCX Tests. We are pleased that you could join us. We extend our best wishes and hope that you have a successful and pleasurable experience.

MFGRC gives a very special THANK YOU to Wayne & Sharon Gey for the use of these beautiful grounds. Please help us maintan its natural beauty by picking up your litter. This property is a working cattle ranch; please close all gates and stay on road paths.

We also thank the judges, working club members, gunners, and other volunteers whose efforts make these tests possible.

These tests are held under the Rules and Regulations of the Golden Retriever Club of America, Inc. The breeds eligible to compete are: All Retrievers, Standard Poodles, Irish Water Spaniels, and Nova Scotia Duck Tollers. **Non-Golden Retriever Participants** – The host committe does not turn in results of non-Goldens to the GRCA WC/WCX Committee with final reports. Each of the parent breed clubs has its own rules. Non-Golden owners are responsible for handling the necessary paperwork for certificates and approval from their specific parent breed clubs. A photographer will be available to take group pictures of all qualifiers (by breed).

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY — THE GRCA BOARD NOW REQUIRES ENTRANTS IN THE WC/WCX TO BRING A COPY OF THE DOG’S AKC/CKC REGISTRATION WITH THEIR ENTRY. The yearbook staff has to verify the dogs and their sires and dams for accuracy, and by submitting a copy of their registration, it will help immensely. The event secretary will send a copy of the registration of all Goldens passing the WC/WCX test with the event final report. FAILURE TO FURNISH A COPY OF THE DOG’S REGISTRATION WILL INCREASE THE WORKLOAD OF THE GRCA WC/WCX RECORDER AND WILL CAUSE PROCESSING DELAYS.

Junior Handlers are very important to us at MFGRC. If you are working on a Junior Recognition Program sponsored by the AKC please see the Hunt Test Secretary for a Jr Handler Certification form prior to the HT. If you have questions about the program reference this link http://www.akc.org/kids_juniors/jr_recognition.cfm and to get an assigned JH number.
All dog handlers 17 years of age or younger are eligible for a 50% rebate of their entry fees for this GRCA event. To be eligible the handler must handle the dog in each series of the test or until they are eliminated from further participation by the judges. Each youth handler is limited to one rebate per stake entered. All must register as a “Youth Handler” with the Marshal for that stake at check-in. The rebate check will be either given to the youth or guardian, time permitting, by the hunt test secretary, or mailed within 2 weeks.

Total entries will be limited to 50. If that number is not reached limited “day of” entries (not to exceed 20%) may be allowed.

October weather should be pleasant. However, be prepared for it to be unseasonably warm. Be sure you have plenty of water for yourself and your dog(s).

Bitches in season are not allowed on the test grounds.

REMEMBER: Consumption of alcoholic beverages on the test grounds is prohibited until the conclusion of the day’s tests.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL COMPETITORS!!!
