How to Join Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club
We encourage you submit an online Membership Application by entering your email address below and selecting the application you want to submit. If you prefer to apply by mail, download the MFGRC Membership Application Packet.
As soon as we receive your completed application and dues, your name will be added to the club’s email distribution list. We use email to let club members know about upcoming meetings and club functions. We also encourage you to join our club’s Facebook group.
The club has three types of membership:
- Individual Membership ($35)
- Family Membership ($35)
- Associate Membership ($35).
Individual and Family members may participate in all activities of the club including voting and holding office. Applications for these voting memberships require attendance at one monthly meeting before being voted in by the general membership.
Associate members may participate in all activities of the club except voting and holding an office. Applications for Associate Membership do not require attendance at any meetings but do require a sponsor and membership approval.
All prospective members must have a sponsor (current member in good standing). If you do not know a club member who can sponsor you, please come to a club function where we can meet you and someone will be happy to sponsor you. We cannot proceed with an application without a sponsor.
You also must read and agree to abide by “The Mid-Florida Golden Retriever Club Code of Ethics”. No one is accepted into MFGRC without having agreed to the Code of Ethics.
Your application will be read to the board for approval at the first board meeting following its receipt. Your next step will be to attend a general meeting to introduce yourself and be voted in by the membership. General meetings are held monthly, mostly via Zoom, with an occasional in-person meeting.
